Improvements will be made soon to the apron area at Allen County Airport where fueling is done.
Bill King, director of Public Works, told county commissioners Tuesday a pre-construction conference would be Sept. 7.
Soon thereafter, Crossland Heavy Construction will start ripping out the old asphalt apron to replace it with one of concrete.
Cost will be $350,000 in a 95-5 grant that will have the county responsible for just $17,500 of the project. The remainder will come from the Federal Aviation Administration.
