Marmaton Valley High School teacher (and alum) Halie Luken makes her directorial debut in a hilarious staging of Don Zolidis’s murder-mystery “The Bold, the Young, and the Murdered.” The madcap plot concerns the cast and crew of a daytime soap opera, whose plans for filming an important episode of the show go pear-shaped when members of the cast begin to drop dead. It’s “Murder on the Orient Express” meets “The Young and the Restless.” Who is the guilty party, the soap star snuffer? Who is the matinee murderer? Who killed the director? Who shot J.R.? You’ll have to attend this rollicking, superbly acted show to find out. Above are cast members Clara Boyd, left, and Alison Heim. At right are Lane Houk, left, and Will Holeman. “The Bold, the Young, and the Murdered” runs Friday and Saturday, beginning at 7 p.m. Veterans receive free admission on Saturday. Dessert will be served during intermission at both showings. Tickets are $6 for adults and $4 for seniors.
