Kansas Gov. Jeff Colyer will be in Iola for about 30 minutes Saturday afternoon as part of a swing through southeast Kansas.
Colyer will be at the Iola Public Library starting at 5 oclock to visit with local residents.
Colyer, appointed Jan. 31 to fill the unexpired term of Sam Brownback after Brownback accepted a role in the Trump administration, is one of seven candidates seeking the Republican nomination for this years gubernatorial election.
