Kansas Gov. Jeff Colyer will be in Iola for about 30 minutes Saturday afternoon as part of a swing through southeast Kansas.

Colyer will be at the Iola Public Library starting at 5 o’clock to visit with local residents.

Colyer, appointed Jan. 31 to fill the unexpired term of Sam Brownback after Brownback accepted a role in the Trump administration, is one of seven candidates seeking the Republican nomination for this year’s gubernatorial election.

Iola will be fourth and final stop for Colyer on Saturday in southeast Kansas.
