Group to talk schools plans

The public is invited to a meeting Tuesday evening at LaHarpe City Hall to discuss a proposed new elementary school for USD 257 students in preschool through fifth grade.

Engineers and architects with Schaefer Johnson Cox Frey Architecture, Wichita, will walk participants through plans for the new all-inclusive elementary school that will be put before voters next spring.

Discussion will also include what would become of the three existing grade schools, Jefferson, Lincoln and McKinley, as well as possible sites for the new school.

The meeting begins at 6 p.m. LaHarpe’s City Hall is at 902 S. Washington.
