HUMBOLDT Its not a stretch to say Humboldt will never become a retail mecca.
Becoming a commercial success in a rural community is challenging enough. Trying it in the digital age, when folks can buy anything from anywhere with a click of a mouse, and its one thats forced many a merchant to close up shop entirely.
But while others might get discouraged, Humboldt City Administrator Cole Herder sees opportunity.
