Iola Council to meet

Iola City Council members will continue discussions Tuesdayon a workforce study, to determine if Iola has the appropriate number of city employees. A bid from Wichita State University’s Public Policy and Management Center would cost the city $16,474.

Council members also will discuss equipment replacement schedules, another hot topic in recent months, as well as a new management system to track how often pieces of equipment are maintained or repaired.

The Council will be updated on how the city’s newly developed personnel policy has been functioning over its first six months.

The meeting was pushed back a day to Tuesday because today is Veterans Day.

The 6 p.m. meeting, in the New Community Building at Riverside Park, is open to the public.
