Iolan Nicole D. Almond, 32, was taken to the hospital Sunday following a two-vehicle accident just in rural Labette County Sunday afternoon.
The Kansas Highway Patrol reported Zachary S. Correll, 33, Parsons, was traveling along U.S. 59, about a mile north of Parsons, when his car crossed the center line and struck a sport utility vehicle driven by Almond.
Correll’s car continued off the road and came to rest about 50 feet in a nearby field. Almon’s vehicle came to rest on the west side of the highway.
Troopers said Almond’s injuries were not believed to be serious.
Correll was uninjured, as were four passengers in Almond’s vehicle.
All were wearing seat belts, KHP reported.
