Iolans should no longer place out items to be picked up by city crews, Iola City Administrator Judy Brigham said, unless they had already scheduled to have those items retrieved.
The city extended its cleanup week so that piles of trash could be separated. New rules at Allen County Landfill prohibit such things as limbs, lumber and construction debris from being placed in its new trash cell.
The city has already completed cleanup efforts of fallen limbs from the April 2 wind storm.
