Iolan Georgia Masterson, left, is one of only a handful of voters to cast ballots this morning in the Iola City Council primary election.
The primary vote is open to those living in Iolas third ward, west of Cottonwood and south of Breckenridge streets. Polls will remain open this evening until 7 oclock.
The top two vote-getters among Josiah DAlbini, Kyle King, Kim Peterson and Ashley Varner will advance to the general election in November.
