TOPEKA – The Kansas Department of Health and Environment has rescinded a boil water advisory for the Allen County’s Rural Water District No. 10 south of Humboldt.
The advisory had been in effect since July 13 because of a waterline break resulting in a loss of pressure in the distribution system.
Failure to maintain adequate pressure may result in a loss of chlorine residuals and bacterial contamination.
Subsequent laboratory testing of drinking water samples indicated no evidence of bacteriological contamination, KDHE announced in a Friday press release.
