Work crews used a pumping system in order to distribute concrete Wednesday for the footings and foundation for the visitors center at Lehigh Portland State Park south of Iola.
The center will include a basement and a deck area to serve up what promises to be a spectacular view of the lake.
Weather permitting, the center should be complete by the end of the year.
