HUMBOLDT — Humboldt High School Craig Smith has been placed on administrative leave.
K.B. Criss, USD 258 superintendent of schools, said Smith was placed on administrative leave Wednesday. He will continue to be paid.
“It’s for personal reasons,” Criss said, declining to comment further, except to say that the leave is effective “until further notice.”
Smith is in his second year as high school principal at Humboldt. Prior to that, he served as an assistant principal for grades 6-12 as well as high school boys basketball coach.
