Allen County law enforcement, fire, medical and other emergency first responders gathered at several points Saturday morning, including the Missouri Road overpass spanning U.S. 169 south of Iola, to pay their last respects to Master Deputy Brandon Collins of Johnson County. Collins was killed while on duty Sept. 11 by a drunk driver. His funeral procession, which went from Johnson County to Oilton, Okla., allowed agencies across eastern Kansas an opportunity to pay their respects.
