Arrest made in pedestrian’s hit-and-run death in Parsons

Woman jailed on suspicion of driving drunk and fatally injuring a pedestrian.

PARSONS, Kan. (AP) — A woman is jailed on suspicion of driving drunk and fatally injuring a pedestrian in Parsons.

Tiffany Jakee, 29, of Parsons, was jailed without bond Thursday afternoon in Labette County on possible charges of involuntary manslaughter while driving under the influence, driving under the influence and failure to stop at the scene of an accident resulting in death.

William Treiber, 29, of St. Paul, died Wednesday night after he was hit by a vehicle as he walked along the shoulder of U.S. 59 in Parsons.
