COFFEYVILLE — An investigation continues into the discovery of more than 5,000 pills, described by investigators as fentanyl.
The Parsons Sun said a person found a PVC pipe containing blue pills on March 17 at their place of work in Coffeyville.
Detectives determined the pills were fentanyl, with an estimated street value of more than $300,000, the newspaper reported.
Montgomery Sheriff Ron Wade said the pills were disguised to look like oxycodone pills, a prescription pain medication.
Further testing will be done on the pills, the newspaper reported.
