Voters say ‘YES, YES, YES’

USD 257 elementary students soon will have a new school to call home.

District voters overwhelmingly approved construction of a new elementary school for preschool through fifth-grade students, at a cost of $25.5 million.

The school will consolidate Iola’s three existing elementary schools — McKinley, Jefferson and Lincoln. Voters favored the school proposal 1,212 to 669.
