Funeral services for Arliss Lyle Adams of Kincaid, whose death Thursday was published in Saturday’s Register, will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Kincaid Selma United Methodist Church in Kincaid. Burial will be in Lone Elm Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the Feuerborn Family Funeral Service Chapel in Garnett.
He was born April 5, 1934, in Kincaid, to John Q. and Ada M. (Rogers) Adams. He attended Belleview Grade School and graduated from Kincaid High School in 1952.
On June 7, 1953, he married Bonnie Goodall in Kincaid.
Following high school he began a lifelong career of farming. He started out farming with his father and brother, J.Q. He later farmed with his son, Kendall.
He was a member of the Kincaid Selma United Methodist Church. He had also been a member of the Kincaid Lions Club and served on the board of the Kincaid Fair Association. He was also an original stockholder in Kincaid Farmers, Fertilizer and Grain. He enjoyed watching Kansas City Chiefs football and University of Kansas basketball.
He is survived by his wife of the home; his children, Kendall and his wife, Denise, Kincaid, and Jeff, Wichita; Renda Hammond and her husband, Mike, and Cindy Rhodes and her husband, Dennis, Kincaid; eight grandchildren; and 12 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a brother, J.Q., and three sisters, Enola Coleman, Helen Lally and Pauline Adams.
