Aliyah Nicholas, 2, Kincaid, gained her angel wings at home Monday, March 30, 2015, after battling Walker Warburg Syndrome.
She was born June 26, 2012, at Shawnee Mission Medical Center in Overland Park, the daughter of Quinnton and Tara Nicholas.
Aliyah was preceded in death by Grandpa Jeffrey Askins; Great-Grandpa Dean Spillman; Great-Grandpa Bill Beckmon; Great-Grandma Bernice Askins; Great-Grandma Lillie Nicholas; and Great-Grandpa Sam Milligan.
She is survived by her parents, Quinnton and Tara (Beckmon) Nicholas; two brothers, Daylan Nicholas and Quinton Colbert, Baton Rouge, La.; grandparents Randal and Marsha Beckmon, Kincaid; Grandma Cheryl Brown, Baton Rouge; great-grandmothers, Letha Spillman of Blue Mound; Ethel Beckmon of Iola; great-grandfather, Elijah Askins Sr. Uncle Nathan and Aunt Krissy Beckmon, Kincaid; Aunt Tawasha Nicholas, Baton Rouge; Aunt Isheia Brown, Baton Rouge; Uncle Chad Piper, Baton Rouge; and a host of cousins, family and friends.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at the Kincaid Selma United Methodist Church in Kincaid, with burial to follow in Osage Valley Cemetery, rural Kincaid. The family will greet friends at the Feuerborn Family Funeral Service Chapel in Garnett from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday.
