Howard “Carl” Francis, age 87, Blue Mound, passed away on Thursday, March 26, 2020. He was born on May 7, 1932 in Blue Mound, the son of Lonnie and Vesta Hopewell Francis. He graduated from Blue Mound High School. Carl worked at different jobs including factory work and truck driving. However, his love was farming. He was a member of the American Legion and VFW. He was preceded in death by his parents and two wives, Norma and Marion. Carl is survived by his wife Ruby Francis, son, Bob Francis and a daughter, Diane McKinney.
Livestreaming of a private family service will take place 10:30 a.m. Tuesday. Individual respects and guest registry can be made from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. today at the Schneider Funeral Home and Crematory, Mound City Chapel. Burial will be in the Sunny Slope Cemetery, Blue Mound.
