Charles W. “Chuck” Ulery Jr., 61, of Gas died Saturday, Aug. 14, 2010, at St. Francis Hospital in Wichita.
He was born July 28, 1949, in Pittsburg, to Charles W. and Patricia AnnRita (O’Donnell) Ulery Sr. He graduated from Iola High School in 1968. He served two years with the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War.
On Jan. 10, 1973, he married Marilyn Reed. They made their home in Gas. He was a truck driver and over the years drove for Quality Packaging, Eureka Crude, Ellsworth, R.V.B. and Transwood. He was currently driving for CTS.
He is survived by his wife; a daughter, Tammy Lynn Ulery; a sister, Catherine E. “Kay” O’Mara and her husband, John; his mother-in-law, Dorothy Reed; and three grandchildren, Charles Dalton Ulery, Trevor Lee Hawley and Kaitlyn Elaine Larson.
A daughter, Trena Lee Ulery, died earlier.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the Waugh-Yokum & Friskel Memorial Chapel in Iola. Burial will be in Gas City Cemetery.
