Cindy sang in the choir at the Village Presbyterian Church and passed on her love of music to her son, who played piano, drums, and sang in church and school choirs. Cindy worked for and retired from Black & Veatch, where she worked on engineering specifications, leading her daughter to become an engineer. In 2013, Cindy moved to California to enjoy the weather and to be close to her daughter.
