Dorothy Katherine Warner, 92, of Humboldt died Sunday, March 27, 2011, at Pinecrest Nursing Home in Humboldt.
She was born on Dec. 31, 1918, in Chanute, to Jessie Vincent and Esther Christine (Nylund) Nelson. She graduated from high school and attended Neosho County Community College.
On Aug. 26, 1944, she married Howard MacKenzie Warner in Woodside, San Mateo, Calif. He died Feb. 26, 2009.
She was a homemaker and did office work.
She and Howard were baptized in July of 1952 in the Church of Jesus Christ Latter-Day Saints. The couple served in the San Diego, Calif., Mission, and in the St. Louis, Mo., Temple of the church.
She enjoyed genealogy, sewing, gardening and playing the piano.
A daughter, Christine Marie Warner, and son, Aaron Nelson, died earlier.
Graveside services were Tuesday at the Swede Center Cemetery in rural Chanute.
Memorials to the Church of Jesus Christ Latter-Day Saints Humanitarian Aid may be left at Penwell-Gabel Humboldt Chapel.
