Eva Rebecca Rush of Coffeyville died Monday, March 8, 2010. She was 92.
She was born Sept., 1, 1917, in Colony, to John and Mabel (Bass) Heinlein. She grew up in Colony and received her high school diploma in Humboldt. She attended beauty school in Pittsburg.
On June 27, 1948, she married Elmer L. Rush in Chanute. The couple made their home in Coffeyville. She was a homemaker and an active member in the First Baptist Church in Coffeyville. She was a past Parent Teachers Association president and PTA council president. She was also active in Life Home Demonstration Unit. He died in July 2006.
She is survived by her daughters, Mabel Irene Clark and her husband, Michael, and Anita Rae Grove and her husband, Earl, Coffeyville; grandchildren, Douglas Clark and Melinda Hill, Olathe, Bradley Clark, Coffeyville, and Christopher E. Grove Esq. and Abbey, Columbus, Ohio; and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at First Baptist Church in Coffeyville. Dr. Wayne Norton will officiate. Burial will follow at 2 p.m. Thursday in Neosho County Cemetery in Chanute.
