Lois E. Flippin, 92, of Iola died Sunday, Nov. 6, 2011, at Allen County Hospital in Iola.
He was born on Sept. 22, 1919, in Iola, to Newton and Estella (Stewart) Flippin. Lois worked several years at Bud White Motors and then in the maintenance department at Allen County Community College before retiring.
He married Edna Louise Wilkerson in 1939, and they made their home in Iola. She died on April 2, 1979.
He is survived by a nephew, Vince Flippin, Wichita.
Lois was preceded in death by three brothers, Edgar, Julius and Eugene, and three sisters, Lena Elizabeth, Lillian Mae and Wilma Marie Flippin.
Family and friends will meet at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Waugh-Yokum & Friskel Memorial Chapel in Iola for visitation before leaving for Highland Cemetery in Iola for graveside services at 11 a.m. The Rev. Phil Honeycutt will officiate.
