Paulette Curry

Kathryn Paulette Curry, age 80, La Cygne, Kansas, passed away Saturday, Jan. 31, 2026. 

She was born Feb. 27, 1945, in Kansas City, Mo., the daughter of Rudolph George and Dorothy Trecel Burrous Obermeier. 

She graduated from La Cygne Rural High School in 1963. She worked as a sales representative for Stine Soybeans, managed the Ensminger Grain Elevator, and finished her career managing a senior care facility. 

Paulette was united in marriage to Robert Curry on July 4, 2004. 

She was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Kathy Dougherty; a grandson; and two stepgrandchildren.

Paulette is survived by her husband Bob; daughter, Lisa Tatsch-Sanford and husband Jeff; stepdaughter, Share Tatsch-Saenger and husband Roy; stepson Perry Tatsch; two brothers, Bill Obermeier and Rudy Obermeier; seven grandchildren, three stepgrandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren and stepgreat-grandchildren. 

Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 10, at Calvary Baptist Church, La Cygne.  Burial will be in Oak Lawn Cemetery.  Visitation will be 5 to 7 p.m. Monday, Feb. 9, at Schneider Funeral Home Chapel, La Cygne. Memorial contributions are suggested to St. Jude Children’s Hospital or Shriner Children’s Hospital.
