Rex R. Clements, 81, of Humboldt died Wednesday, Aug. 11, 2010, at Neosho Memorial Regional Medical Center in Chanute.
He was born Dec. 19, 1928, in Ava, Mo., to Raymond Dewey and Ida (Frye) Clements. He graduated from Humboldt High School.
He served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War.
On July 23, 1951, he married Joan Nickell in Bentonville, Ark. She is deceased.
He worked for the Monarch Cement Company for 40 years.
He is survived by his children, Jeff and his wife, Linda, Scott and his wife, Linda, and Lori Woods and her husband, Dan; five grandchildren, Dana, Christopher and his wife Evette, Torrey, Ashli and Adrianne and her husband Derek; four great-grandchildren; two brothers, Bobbie Dean and Howard; and a sister, Betty Sue Whitaker.
Three great-grandchildren, three sisters and six brothers died earlier.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at First Baptist Church in Humboldt. Burial will follow in Mount Hope Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 7 to 8 p.m. today at Penwell-Gabel Humboldt Chapel.
