Shirley M.E. Beeman, 67, Humboldt, passed away on Thursday, Sept. 27, 2018, at Labette Health, Parsons. Shirley was born Sept. 15, 1951, in Chanute, to Charles W. Miller and Dorothy M. Franklin Miller.
Shirley and Merle LeRoy Beeman were married at Shirleys parents home on May 1, 1970, in Humboldt.
Shirley worked for Thompson Poultry, owned and operated a craft business and sold her crafts at area craft shows, and worked for a greenhouse in Chanute, and then at Russell Stover Candies in Iola until her retirement.
Shirley liked raising sheep, gardening and flowers. Shirley loved her grandchildren and giving her kids a hard time. She enjoyed bowling and traveling with her bowling team.
Shirley was preceded in death by her parents.
Shirley is survived by her husband of the home; two sons, Wesley Beeman, Humboldt, and Bengji Beeman and wife Marsha, Savonburg; two brothers, Arnold E. Miller Sr., Moran, and Charles Miller and wife Phyllis, Lawrence; three grandchildren, Austin Beeman and wife Haley, Erie, Kasey Beeman, Pitts-burg, and Taylor Beeman, Savonburg; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday in The Venue at Feuerborn Family Funeral Home, Iola. A graveside service and burial will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, at Maple Grove Cemetery, 439-459 2000 St., Humboldt.
Memorials are suggested to the American Cancer Society or to the American Heart Association.
