Steve Uitts may be a renowned fixture in the area sports community, but Kansas City got its first taste of Allen County’s super fan during a recent visit to Kauffman Stadium.
Shawn Maier, who often accompanies Uitts to area games, said the trip was made possible through an Iola resident who chose to remain anonymous. The individual contacted the Royals and arranged a visit by Uitts before a game.
