COLONY – Crest Middle School’s Lancers captured a 34-30 victory at home over Jayhawk-Linn Junior High’s Jayhawks Thursday.
Resuming their season after the holiday break, the Lancers were up 17-13 at halftime. The Jayhawks outscored the Lancers 6-4 in the third.
Both teams had their top point production in the final period. Crest had the edge 13-11 to take the win to go 12-2 on the season.
Hunter Frazell tossed in 16 points for the Lancers. Evan Godderz added seven and Colton Strickler had six points.
Brandon Brallier scored three and Kellen Ramsey had two points.
In the B-team game, Crest (7-7) beat Jayhawk-Linn 10-6. Jake Pinney scored six points. Dylan Young and John Hartman each had two points.
Crest hosts St. Rose of Garnett Monday.
