Yates Center Cross Country head coach Rex McVey was named the Class 2A Boys Cross Country Coach of the Year by the Kansas Cross Country and Track and Field Coaches Association on Friday. McVey is fresh off of leading his team to its first state championship in school history. The award was the first Coach of the Year honor given to any Yates Center coach in school history.
