Crest star Hunter Frazell led a handful of area basketball players who were honored as all-state selections by the Topeka Capital-Journal and the Wichita Eagle.

Frazell was the only area athlete to earn a first-team nod. He accomplished that feat in both publications.

The senior led Crest with 20.5 points-per-game and his team advanced to the sub-state final before they fell to Hartford.

Chonnor Ludolph of South Coffey County was named to the Capital-Journal’s second-team, while earning honorable mention in the Eagle.

Humboldt had three players earn recognition in the Capital-Journal. Rayce Hoepker was a third-teamer, while teammates Rhett Smith and Jake Haviland were each honorable mentions. Hoepker and Haviland each earned honorable mention in the Eagle as well.

On the girls’ side, Humboldt’s Makaylah McCall was listed as an honorable mention by both newspapers, while Marmaton Valley’s Makenzie Tynon was a Capital-Journal honorable mention.

Fillies’ standout Toni Macha earned a spot in the honorable mentions for the Capital-Journal.
