PLEASANTON — Humboldt High’s Cubs weren’t able to keep Central Heights High’s Vikings in check during the second half Saturday. Both teams had scoring runs in the first half with the Cubs holding a 27-24 halftime lead.

The Vikings outscored the Cubs 24-16 and 20-15 in the third and fourth periods, respectively, for a 68-58 victory. The win also put the 2012 Pleasanton High Blu-Jays Mid-Season Tournament championship in the Vikings’ pocket.

Uniontown High’s Eagle girls ended up on the short end of a 44-24 decision in their third-place game in the tournament. Jayhawk-Linn High’s Jayhawks used a 19-6 second quarter to boost themselves to the win.
