YATES CENTER — Uniontown High’s junior varsity softball team remains unbeaten after winning the Yates Center High JV tournament Saturday.
The Eagles beat Burlington 10-1 then rallied past Humboldt with three runs in the fifth inning to win 5-4.
Taylor Wade was the winning pitcher against Burlington. Jamie Dawson had three singles and Mandie Ridge hit a double and a single. Hitting a single each were Amber Bartlett, Wade, Emily Shinn and Amanda Poyner.
Against Humboldt, Ridge was the winning pitcher. Ridge, Regan Weyant, Dawson and Poyner each had a single.
