The Clyde Gerdsen Memorial Sonic Open Horseshoe Tournament is Saturday at Iola’s Riverside Park. The tournament is hosted by the Riverside Horseshoe Club.
It is the club’s annual sanctioned tournament. It will be held at the Clyde Gerdsen Memorial Courts in the park.
Play starts at 9 a.m. on the horseshoe pitching courts.
The tournament, which is sponsored by Dan Oswalt of Iola Sonic Drive-In, draws contestants from across Kansas and from Missouri.
Spectators are encouraged to come watch the competition.
