HUMBOLDT — Humboldt Middle School’s eighth-grade boys weren’t about to let a 9-2 halftime deficit get them down Thursday evening.
The Cubs erupted for 17 points in the third quarter and 19 in the fourth of a 38-20 victory over visiting Galesburg.
“I can’t say enough about the way we played in the second half,” head coach Jeremy Weilert said. “Every single member of the eighth-grade team contributed in this victory. We played with intensity.”
