HUMBOLDT — Colton Bunn captured his first feature win in a thriller factory stock race Friday night at Humboldt Speedway.
The race had multiple lead changes throughout its 15 laps. Bunn passed Brandon Tindle last to take the checkered flag.
Tindle ran second with Derrick Wilson in third. Dustin Lawrence placed fourth and Brandon
Weide in fifth.
Roger Oswald became the first driver to fall under a new rule at Humboldt Speedway. In all classes except modified, if a driver wins three feature races, the car engine head is pulled to make sure it is legal.
Oswald won Friday’s pure stock feature but was disqualified when the motor did not pass inspection. So Jeremy Willard was awarded the victory.
Mike Aiello finished second followed by Brandon Rowland, Rowland Floyd and Eddie Coulter.
Johnny Bone Jr. drove wire-to-wire to claim the win in the modified feature. John Allen took second.
Brian Bolin edged Justin Folk for third. Cody Alger rounded out the top five.
In the B-mod feature race, Scott Collins got his first taste of victory at the Speedway this season. Jay Lamons Jr. ran a strong second followed by Tim VanGotten, Jerrey Kustanborter and Mike Letterman.
It will be kids night this Friday at the Speedway. There will be bike races at halftime.
Vintage cars will race along with the four regular classes.
