The Humboldt volleyball team wrapped up its season on Saturday in the Sub-State championship versus one-seed St. Marys Colgan.
The Cubs, who came into the tournament as the three-seed, end the year with a 24-12 overall record.
Humboldt opened the tournament versus Uniontown and dispatched their Sub-State hosts in two sets 25-10 and 25-17.
Kaylie Johnson led the way with eight kills followed by seven for Aricah McCall and five for Camrie Farran.
Alayna Johnson had a team-high five aces and 27 assists while Emma Johnson led the team in digs. Morgan Mauk had nine digs and Madison Gean had seven.
The Lady Cubs advanced to face two-seed and Three Rivers League champion Oswego, taking them down in two sets 25-20 and 25-18.
Farran had 10 kills and Kaylie Johnson had nine.
Mauk had two aces and Emma Johnson and Madison Gean each had seven digs. Mauk and McCall had six digs. Alayna Johnson had 29 assists.
That win moved them on to the championship where they faced an undefeated Colgan team that had swept them earlier in the season during their home tournament.
The rematch didnt play out any different. The Lady Cubs fell in two sets 25-6 and 25-11.
We played some great volleyball in the first two matches but we came up short against Colgan, head coach Terry Meadows said. Im very proud of the girls and everything they did this season.
Farran and Kaylie Johnson each had four kills. Alayna Johnson had 11 assists and Emma Johnson had six digs followed by four for Mauk.
The Lady Cubs lose six seniors including McCall, Kaylie Johnson, Farran, Mauk, Savanna Puckett and Roni Bulk.

The Wildcats also competed in the Uniontown Sub-State.
