PITTSBURG — Iola High’s Mustangs finished 11th in Tuesday’s Pittsburg High Invitational golf tournament. The 12-team, 18-hole event was played at Crestwood Golf Course.
Pittsburg-Colgan won the team title with a four-man total of 332. Coffeyville was second at 336.
The Mustangs finished with a 433 total.
Sam Shallah had the lowest score of the day for Iola. He carded a 101 with rounds of 49 and 52. Kris Collins shot a 104 (52-52).
Three Iola golfers finished at 114 — Zach Crawford (54-60), Jarrett Mosbrucker (58-56) and Nick Jacobs (54-60). Hayden Wolf had a 119 (59-60.
Kelly Thompson of Colgan was top medalist with a 76. Jon Nichols of Pittsburg and Kolter Krumsick of Colgan each shot a 78 and Mitch Hale of Chanute had a 79.
Iola is at Parsons next Thursday.
