Humboldt High’s Taylyn Wells connects for a hit in a semifinal game at Tuesday’s Kansas Class 3A Regional Softball Tournament in Cherokee. The Lady Cubs beat Riverton 6-3 to advance to the championship game. Humboldt suffered its first loss of the season in the regional title game, losing 5-3 to Pittsburg St. Mary’s Colgan. The Lady Cubs finished 22-1. The Register did not receive a report on the games.
