Lady Cubs take sixth at Fredonia

High School Track and Field: Humboldt Cubs

Humboldt’s track and field team were in Fredonia on Friday. The Cub girls ended up tying for sixth while the boys finished 13th.

Britnee Works finished fourth in both the high jump (4’10”) and the pole vault (6’6”).

Kaylie Johnson finished second in the triple jump with a distance of 34’10” and fourth in the long jump 15’6.25”.

Savanna Puckett finished fourth in the 200 with a time of 27.65.

The 4×100 relay team of Johnson, Puckett, Zoey Wilson and Lizzie Myers finished third with a time of 54.72 and the 4×800 team of Puckett, Wilson, Myers and Bailey Goodell finished fifth (11:45.8).

Colin Gillespie had a strong showing for the Cub boys, finishing second in the high jump with a height of six feet, fifth in the 300-meter hurdles with a time of 45.15 and sixth in the triple jump with a distance of 37’7.75”.

Isiah Coronado finished fifth in the 400-meters with a time of 55.52 while the 4×800 team of Coronado, Caleb Coronado, Drake Harrington and Seth Barlow finished sixth with a time of 9:31.32.

The Cubs will run at Neodesha on Thursday.
