Fort Scott got off to an early 1-0 lead after the first inning but back-to-back one-run innings in the third and fourth innings gave Allen County a 2-1 lead heading into the fifth.

Allen County drove in two insurance runs in the top of the sixth inning to push their lead to three by the end of the game.

Walker earned the win for the Lady Devils, pitching the full seven innings while allowing just one run on six hits and two walks.

In the second game, both teams scored a run in the first inning and Fort Scott edged out to a 2-1 lead after the second.

From there, it was almost all Allen County. The Lady Devils scored three runs in the third and fourth innings and then three more in the sixth to take a 7-2 lead.

Fort Scott tried to mount a rally in the bottom of the sixth but they were only able to get one run across.

Thompson got the win pitching all seven innings while giving up three runs (two earned) on 11 hits and a walk with two strikeouts.

Winter Henry hit not one but two home runs in the win as part of her three-hit, five RBI day. Greninger, Walker and Ashlie Shields each had two hits.
