After opening the season with a quick 2-0 start under new head coach Todd Buchanan, the Allen Community College women’s basketball team has since lost its last two contests to fall to 2-2 on the year.
The Lady Red Devils lost 82-72 to Northern Oklahoma College-Tonkawa on Saturday.
Ashley Sally led Allen with 19 points on 7-of-15 shooting, including 4-of-6 from beyond the three-point arc.
But the rest of the Lady Red Devils weren’t as effective in finding the bottom of the net as Sally was on Saturday.
Without counting Sally’s standout performance, Allen’s offense combined to shoot just 29.8 percent from the floor and 20 percent from three-point range.
In addition to their shooting woes, the Lady Red Devils are struggling to find a balanced offensive attack that served them well during their two-game winning streak to open the season.
In its two defeats, Allen has recorded just 16 assists compared to the 33 assists it had in its two victories.
