Wrestlers across the state filled the Kansas Expo Center in Topeka last weekend to compete in the Sunflower State Games.
Area athletes TJ Taylor and Trenton Jones competed.
Both boys wrestled in the 13-15 year old division with Taylor competing in the 78-84 pound weight class and Jones in the 134-148 pound weight class.
Taylor finished second in the takedown and folkstyle tournaments while Jones won gold in the takedown and folkstyle tournaments.
Both wrestlers will be 8th-graders at Iola Middle School and will compete on the Pony Wrestling Team.
