Iola High’s 2010 Fall Homecoming king Ralph Shafer was one of the leading tacklers for the Mustangs Friday night.
That was about as good as it got for the Mustangs against Columbus High’s Titans. The Titans set the tone of the game on the opening kickoff and never allowed the Mustangs in the game.
Columbus won the Southeast Kansas League game 47-6. And even though the Mustangs held the Titans scoreless in  the third quarter, it didn’t prevent triggering the running clock at the end for a third straight game.
