Fresh off advancing to the second round of the state playoffs in their respective divisions, Marmaton Valley High and Crest High had plenty of representation on the All-Three Rivers League teams announced this morning.
Marmaton Valley had nine players fill 17 slots on the all-league roster. Crest had seven players represent 15 positions.

Wildcats recognized
Marmaton Valley’s Cole Becker earned first team honors as a running back and linebacker.
Lucas Hamlin was voted in as first team tight end and kicker while earning honorable mention as a defensive lineman.
Daylen Houk was voted first team linebacker while earning honorable mention as a running back and as a kick returner.
Jared Kale was named first team offensive lineman and defensive lineman. Nathan Smart earned first-team honors as an offensive lineman and honorable mention as a defensive lineman.
Ryan Smith earned honorable mention as quarterback on offense and as a defensive back.
Lane Hamm received honorable mention as the Wildcats’ center, as did Jimmy Frye and Sage Hall as linebackers.
The Wildcats (10-1) rolled through a perfect regular season, then defeated Udall in the opening round of the Kansas Eight Man, Division I playoffs before bowing out Saturday to Rock Hills.

Lancers honored
Crest’s Kyle Hammond earned the distinction of being named four times, earning first-team honors as running back, linebacker and punter, while earning honorable mention as a kick and punt returner.
Jordan Morton and Dylan Sedlak also were three-time honorees. Morton earned first team honors as a wide receiver and defensive back and honorable mention as a kick returner.
Sedlak received honorable mention for his work as a running back, defensive back and kicker.
Jesse Boone was voted in as first team offensive lineman and honorable mention defensive lineman.

Clayton Miller was voted as a first-team defensive lineman.
Landon Stephens earned honorable mention as a defensive lineman.
Crest (7-4) started the 2012 campaign 2-3 before rattling off five straight wins, including a 66-50 come-from-behind victory over South Barber to open the Kansas Eight Man, Division II playoffs. The Lancers were eliminated from postseason contention Saturday in a loss at Hanover.
