FORT SCOTT — Tessa Olson ran second in the 400-meter dash at Tuesday’s Fort Scott High JV Invitational track meet.
The Marmaton Valley High freshman ran the race in 1 minute, 8.7 seconds. Dawn Hobbs placed fifth in the 800-meter run in 2:59.28.
Marmaton Valley freshman Trent Johnson finished third in the discus with a throw of 95 feet, 11 inches. He was fourth in the javelin at 129’1”.
Marcus Miller took fourth in the 800-meter run in 2:21.9. Nick Trollope was fifth in the shot put with a toss of 33’2”.
Marmaton Valley’s field event relay teams — 4×100 — finished third and fourth. The Wildcat girls’ team of Molly Hamlin, Lauren Korte, Kristin Shaw and Olson was third in 1:09.8. The Wildcat boys’ team of Josh Miller, Johnson, Mark Henderson and Trollope was fourth in 58.9 seconds.
