MOUND CITY — Iola Middle School’s golf team competed at the Jayhawk-Linn Junior High tournament at Sugar Valley Golf Course Monday.
Colby Works placed eighth with a 51 and Garrett Wade earned the 10th-place medal with a 52. Ryan Easter shot a 63 and Aaron Terhune had a 68.
Iola finished fourth with a 234. Chanute won the nine-hole tournament with a 197.
Matt Percy of Central Heights was the top medalist with a 35.
In the girls’ division, Iola’s Taylor Sell shot a 57 to take the third-place medal. Toni Macha carded a 63 for seventh and Brook Storrer finished 10th with a 67.
