Allen faces Oklahoma Wesleyan again with the aim of ending their five-game skid on Wednesday for their home opener.
Rager signs
Allen’s softball ace has committed to attend the University of St. Mary. Baileigh Rager made the announcement on Sunday.
Rager has led the Red Devils during her freshman year despite suffering from a hip injury. She had offseason surgery on her hip labrum.
Despite the injury, Rager was able to throw 155 innings and post a 2.44 ERA. That ERA mark was good for tenth in the Jayhawk Conference.
Rager also was able to strike out 99 batters compared to just 37 walks.
She plans on continuing her education in nursing while at St. Mary.
St. Mary finished 32-20 last year, but has gotten off to a rough start this season at 1-4.
