Red Devils drop series against Greyhounds

The Allen Community College baseball team suffered a series loss by dropping three-of-four against Fort Scott Community College this weekend.
On Saturday, the Red Devils picked up their only series victory with a 5-4 win.
Freshman first baseman Sky-Lar Culver homered in the game-one victory.
Allen lost the second game on Saturday, 9-5, despite taking an early lead.
On Friday, the Red Devils lost 12-6 and 18-0 in Fort Scott.
Allen is now 27-10 this season.

SOFTBALL
INDEPENDENCE — Despite a rough start to the season for the Red Devils, freshman shortstop Winter Henry has been outstanding at the plate and that continued on Saturday in a pair of Allen Community College victories.
Henry went 8-for-10 in the doubleheader with Independence and hit a home run in each game.
Sophomore Morgan Wayman also homered in each game.
The Red Devils won game one 12-6 with freshman Sierra Thompson getting the win on the mound and also homering.
Allen won game two, 12-6.
