After an 0-4 start to the 2014-2015 season, the Allen Community College men’s basketball team essentially needed the rest of November just to dig itself out of the hole and reach .500 again.
This year, the Red Devils aren’t wasting any time finding success on the court. After three games, coach Andy Shaw’s squad is 3-0.
The team’s third straight victory came Friday night after it defeated Oklahoma Wesleyan JV, 106-76.
Once again, Allen came out on top thanks to a balanced offensive attack.
Five Red Devils finished the night with double-digit scoring performances.
No player was more effective on offense than freshman Jah-Kobe Womack, who recorded a team-high 24 points on 8-of-11 shooting. He also went 4-of-7 from three-point range.
Sophomore Jermaine Long, who led Allen in scoring in the first two games, finished the night just behind Womack with 14 points on 5-of-8 shooting.
Long has now reached double-digit scoring figures in each of Allen’s first three games of the year.
